The Verdant Tile Co. is located in a historic Arts and Crafts Prairie style railway station in Stratford Ontario; a suitable environment for the tiles being created. Mary, the chief artisan of Verdant Tile, is a Roycroft Renaissance Artisan. Her designs are influenced by Medieval stained glass and illuminations and William Morris and his contemporaries working in the English Arts & Crafts Movement.
She enjoys working with the spirit and philosophy of the Arts & Crafts Movement and the Roycroft Movement begun by Elbert Hubbard at the turn of the last century.
All Verdant Tiles are created with a notch in the back for hanging. They can also be framed or displayed on an easel. And, of course, these tiles are beautiful when used in an installation in your kitchen, bath, fireplace surround, and other areas in and around your home.
Quarter-sawn oak frames are available in all standard sizes. Custom frames are also available upon request. |
